Cookies cost $3.50 per box.  Troops receive 60¢ - 70¢ per box to help
  finance their activities.  The cookie sale program activity also helps defray
  the costs of Council-sponsored program activities, camp maintenance, 
  leader training, and many resources for Girl Scout troops and groups -- 
  including this site!

	Lemonades Savory shortbread slices with a refreshingly tangy lemon icing make any day feel like a sweet summer break.
	Thin Mints Thin chocolate wafers dipped in a rich chocolaty coating with a burst of pure peppermint oil.
	Peanut Butter Sandwich Deliciously smooth peanut butter sandwiched between cruncy oatmeal cookies.
	Peanut Butter Patty Crispy vanilla cookies layered with real peanut butter and blanketed with a chocolatey coating.
	Thanks-A-Lot Heartwarming shortbread cookies dipped in rich fudge and topped with an embossed Thank You message in one of five languages.
	Caramel deLites Delicate vanilla cookies drenched in caramel, sprinkled with toasted coconut and laced with dark cocoa stripes
	Shortbread This sumptuous shortbread is a traditional favorite with a buttery, light flavor that tastes great.

  
Operation Sweet Appreciation
Send a little sweet appreciation to our servicemen and women overseas.

Q. What is Operation Sweet Appreciation?

A. Operation Sweet Appreciation sends "a taste of home" to U.S. troops deployed overseas. Local Girl Scouts team up with their cookie customers to send boxes of Girl Scout cookies to service men and women far from home.

Q. How many cookies have been donated in the past?

A. Each year Girl Scouts across the country send hundreds of thousands of packages of cookies overseas. In 2007, northeast Ohio Girl Scouts sent over 20,000 packages of cookies.

Q. How does it work?

A. There is a column on the cookie order card that indicates purchased cookies for donation to Operation Sweet Appreciation. Girl Scouts deliver the cookies to one of the designated Girl Scout or Red Cross dropp off points, and the GSNEO Council staff arranges for shipping with donations from businesses and organizations in the area.

Q. Has the military approved this program?

A. Yes. GSNEO works with the International USO to reach deployed servicemen and women and follows the guidelines issued by the United States Department of Defense.
